Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

Wakari School is one of the first Primary Schools in Dunedin to introduce BYOD to Year 5 and 6 children!

This is a voluntary programme. However the are many benefits to bringing your own device:

  1. The device will cater for your child’s digital learning needs through to Intermediate or High School
  2. Your child will maximise their access to digital devices
  3. Your child learns self management and responsibility

Wakari School has partnered up with Noel Leeming to get Chromebooks at a special price. You may purchase your Chromebook elsewhere, but it will need to have the following minimum specifications:

RAM: 4GB

Storage (HDD/SDD): 32GB

Screen: 11″

We recommend the ACER and LENEVO Chromebooks

If you wish to purchase a Chromebook, please read the following documents first:

Remember this is a voluntary programme.
