Our ValuesAt Wakari School we promote our values of Honesty, Manners, Respect, Cooperation & Kindness. As a Family orientated school we promote and encourage parental involvement. This assistance is vital for the children’s education during their time with us. School Camps, trips, swimming and School Fairs would simply not be possible without the assistance that Whanau offer. Our school has a proud tradition of community involvement stretching back to 1858! |
Our Vision and AimsWakari prides itself on developing its Vision with our pupils; “Happy, Confident Learners”. We look to achieve this through a Co-operative Approach to Teaching and Learning. We have Three Syndicates across the School which operate in Learning Hubs. We aim to provide our pupils with the means to achieve their best in a caring, safe and secure environment. Wakari School benefits from a true team approach. |

See what Busy Bumbles are offering for the term holidays
The cost of our Holiday Programme, per child per day, is as follows:
➢ School Hours Day – 8.30am-3pm - $60
➢ Full Day – 7am-6pm - $70
Excursion and Incursion days incur an additional charge to cover the activity and travel costs, as shown on the programme overview and in the booking system.
Your child(ren) can be dropped off/collected anytime within the session times specified above. On excursion and incursion days however, please ensure your child is at the venue before 9am and collected as close to 3pm as possible. This is to ensure your child is present and ready for travel or has returned from the trip, and to make the most of the activity.
Overviews detailing the activities that are scheduled for each day can be found on our website https://www.busybumbles.co.nz/Holiday-Programmes/
Activities will be offered to all children and participation encouraged, however it remains the choice of each child as to whether they get involved.
More information attached.
Pick up Drop off area outside the Shetland St entrance
These are “no parking” areas at the times shown on the sign. That means no waiting and no leaving your vehicle.
They’re places to pick up drop off and “GO”. If your child isn’t ready for you, please exit and re-enter the area (it takes just 3 mins to go around the block via Forresbank and Mayfield). This gives others a chance to use your space.
Thank you for making the streets a safer place for our children.
For more information on the pickup/drop-off zone, go to https://www.wakari.school.nz/information/more-info/road-safety
It is nice seeing the pool being utilised over the summer.
However in recent times, the pool has been left in an untidy state with mud around the pool and toilets not being flushed. This has taken our caretaker some time each morning to clean.
Please ensure that you leave the pool in the same condition you find it so all can enjoy this fabulous resource.
