|
Our ValuesAt Wakari School we promote our values of Honesty, Manners, Respect, Cooperation & Kindness. As a Family orientated school we promote and encourage parental involvement. This assistance is vital for the children’s education during their time with us. School Camps, trips, swimming and School Fairs would simply not be possible without the assistance that Whanau offer. Our school has a proud tradition of community involvement stretching back to 1858! |
Our Vision and AimsWakari prides itself on developing its Vision with our pupils; “Happy, Confident Learners”. We look to achieve this through a Co-operative Approach to Teaching and Learning. We have Three Syndicates across the School which operate in Learning Hubs. We aim to provide our pupils with the means to achieve their best in a caring, safe and secure environment. Wakari School benefits from a true team approach. |

Enrollments for Term 2 & 3 Winter Sports are now available and will close on Tuesday 8th April.
To enroll go to www.wakari.school.nz and click on ‘Sports’ then ‘Signup Forms’ and then the appropriate sport.
Sports on offer for Term 2 & 3 are:
● Hockey – Year 1 upwards, played on Wednesday
● Netball – Year 1 upwards, played on Tuesday
● Miniball – Year 1 upwards, played on Thursday
If you are able to help as a team manager, could you please indicate this on the form when enrolling. Teachers take on the coaching roles and run practices at lunch times, but we will need managers for the games.
It is important to note that if you do sign your child up for a sport, that they are committed to play for the whole season. It is hard for teams and coaches if children pull out.

The cost of our Holiday Programme, per child per day, is as follows:
➢ School Hours Day – 8.30am-3pm - $60
➢ Full Day – 7am-6pm - $70
Excursion and Incursion days incur an additional charge to cover the activity and travel costs, as shown on the programme overview and in the booking system.
Your child(ren) can be dropped off/collected anytime within the session times specified above. On excursion and incursion days however, please ensure your child is at the venue before 9am and collected as close to 3pm as possible. This is to ensure your child is present and ready for travel or has returned from the trip, and to make the most of the activity.
Overviews detailing the activities that are scheduled for each day can be found on our website https://www.busybumbles.co.nz/Holiday-Programmes/
Activities will be offered to all children and participation encouraged, however it remains the choice of each child as to whether they get involved.
